Facebook is intensifying its efforts to fight fake news, according to Geek.com.
The social network has been working for more than a year to remove false accounts and cooperate with fact checkers to promote news literacy. Product manager Tessa Lyons admitted on Saturday that: “This effort will never be finished, and we have a lot more to do.”
Last spring, Facebook introduced its 3rd party fact checking program, making it available in 14 countries via several news organizations, including Factcheck.org, PolitiFact, and Snopes.
