An onlooker saved a five-year-old girl who was dragged under a moving train, as captured in the footage above.
The man, Sachin Pol, leapt into action to save the young girl’s life after she slipped out of her mother’s grasp while boarding the carriage.
Pol was nearly dragged under too, as the train left Mahalaxmi station in Mumbai, India on Friday evening, May 11.
Both Pol and the little girl suffered minor bruises.
The toddler’s father, Mohammad, said he didn’t realize how quickly Mumbai trains picked up speed.
Only two seconds passed between the girl going under and Pol pulling her to safety.
“I will be eternally grateful to the man who saved my daughter’s life,” said Mohammad.
